AVIATION OVERVIEW

Balter has an extensive portfolio of aviation projects spanning much of the eastern United States and the Caribbean ranging in size from General Aviation Airports to major International hubs. Since beginning with MWAA more than 30 years ago, Balter has established itself as an industry leader in Aviation for geotechnical services including Geotechnical Engineering, Quality Assurance services, Pavement Evaluations (both P-401 Hot Mix Asphalt and P-501 Concrete), Special Inspections, Asphalt Plant Inspection, and Materials Laboratory Testing.

Our professional staff working and overseeing all aviation projects are intimately familiar with the pertinent design and construction related FAA Advisory Circulars, including 150/5320 and 150/5370. Our staff regularly participates in industry aviation engineering groups, and commonly participate in advisory circular review panels.  Our ability to proactively work with clients while providing our expertise and representing owners has resulted in not only many highly successful projects but also the opportunity to work on some of the most innovative, high profile aviation projects throughout the country.
