The Robert B. Balter Company Announces Unparalleled Laboratory Capabilities The Robert B. Balter Company announces the launch of its fully automated laboratories. Material samples and investigative test results can now be completed in a fraction of the time that it would normally take to complete these tests manually. Faster turn-arounds from us, equate to dollars saved for our clients.Balter holds 87 AASHTO and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) laboratory certifications for earthwork, building and roadway materials, and possesses fully automated equipment that is normally available only in research institutions. Intercounty Connector (ICC) As a result of The Robert B. Balter Company's extensive tranportation experience and in-house resources, the Company has been selected to be a member of the GEC for the ICC. In this role, Balter is providing extensive geotechnical services on this $1.35 billion transportation project. Services performed include subsurface explorations comprised of hundreds of soil and rock borings; materials and laboratory testing specifically classification and sophisticated triaxial, consolidation, and direct shear materials testing; and geotechnical and geological engineering.
